Edgar Modern promotes work that is original and engaging. Both established and emerging artists are chosen for their ability to express ideas in either a known language or in an experimental way. A select group of artists are supported by Edgar Modern by the presentation of their work in the UK and overseas.
The Bath gallery was established in a converted wine store in 2003 and is regarded for its programme of high quality and stimulating exhibitions. Edgar Modern's focus is on painting and in 2010/11 its programme will include collaborative projects between artists working in the media of painting, print, photography, film and installation.
